Diptychs and Triptychs
For this assignment, we had to create Diptychs and Triptychs using Picnik. Diptychs are two photos that go together and Triptychs are three photos that go together cohesively. We had to put pictures together that allowed the eye to flow from one picture to the other and worked. Either there was a clear pattern, shapes, or a story being told. The assignment was difficult at first because you really have to play around with what photos you choose, what order they should be in, and whether they should go horizontally or vertically.

The yellow from the sunflower and street really stuck out to me. Even though their two completely different objects you made them somehow blend well together to create something cohesive. The street is leading to the sunflower, like its the prize. I also like the last one because it seems to tell a story without words. My one suggestion for your shadow photos is to get shapes that are more similar and match them together. Having all these different shapes in one photo seems like too much going on. There is no real focus.
ReplyDeleteCarl! I really like ur series you did a really good job creating cohesiveness with ur photos. They all have the same tone and the effect is powerful. I really like the one of the chocolate kiss because it looks as though it's coming closer and closer towards you. I also like the shadowy ones because it has a dreamlike feel to it.
ReplyDeleteI really like your shadow pictures, those are my favoite style and what i worked last year! It helps me to remind my old photos. And each picture has three different pictures, but those fit very well in one picture. NICEEEE!!
ReplyDeleteI love the way the colors flow in the sunflower one! These are all very well thought out and match up together. The second one with the lines and shadows in the street is very creative. You contrasted the two photos nicely and even got the lines to match up!
ReplyDeleteGreat series! I love the pictures of the piano. It looks really cool how you flipped the image at the end. Seems like a simple idea, but it works really nicely. The last image is great as well. It does a great job with depth and it seems like it is moving.
ReplyDeletenice job :)
I really like this series. the way it flows is really great. I like the street and the sunflower because it's so colorful but I really like the other street views you have. They work really well together. Great job
ReplyDeleteI really liked how you used lines in your pictures to fit them together. I also like the photograph with the sunflower and crosswalk and how you used the colors to fit them together. The first photo was very interesting as well, and i liked how the black and white made them seem like one.
ReplyDeleteCarl i really like the photo with the candy kisses i thought that the way they were set up and the color exposure made them look great! i also really like the photo where you morphed the sunflower and the street together, i never would have though t of that, great job!
