Halloween

In this assignment, we took pictures of people with masks on that represent things or people that we were scared of when we were younger. We were influenced by Halloween! Also, with this assignment, we "fooled" around with Picnik, because they have really great effects and we have never used it before to edit photos.

  1. I really love these shots! the one of the mask looks almost animated! you did a great job playing around with the effects. I really love the shadow you captured in the full body pic with the mask with the blood stains. Go Carl!!

  2. Looks like you had fun with picnik! I like the third one a lot, its a very strong photograph. The shadow and blood effect coming up from the bottom create a creepy look. Your editing looks really good on each picture. The second one of the skull also stands out. good job!

  3. Oh my god, your pictures are so scary! I like how you had two of the same skeleton mask pictures, but changed it with different effects. The first picture really pops out at me. The skeleton with the dress on standing at the back of the wall reminds me of the movie the Orphanage, is that what inspired you? Its shadow looming over the skeleton emphasizes the terror. The last picture having the skeleton transparent makes it look like a ghost in a graveyard, which is perfect for the setting.
