Shadow Project

For this assignment, I got to choose what I wanted to photograph. Since I really enjoyed taking photos of shadows for a previous assignment, I decided to take that love for shadows and use to for this project. My project contains photos of abstract shadows. Some are unclear of what they are suppose to be, others created creatures, and other photographs have many layers of deep shadows with hints of light.

  1. I really enjoy these pictures.
You can really see the love you have for shadows, you really can...
I like how you took pictures of things that we see every day but pay no attention to and captured them in a whole new light.

  4. Cary I really love your second photo! there is so much going on and it is very bold. All of the shadows you captured are very solid, bold, and beautiful You did a great job searching for treasure. I also appreciate the choices you made when editing, the sepia tones have a magical feel to it.

  5. These are all great shadow pictures! They are all strong and you captured different shapes and abstract images as well. I like that you played around with the same photo in order to make a new one.

  6. I like how you can see all sorts of different shapes in the shadows. The pictures of the shadow of the tree is my favorite because you can see the trees outline very well.

  7. I love the mystery these shadows bring. Each photograph is unique because every viewer sees something different from the ominous blob. You might want to experiment with other shadows, maybe from buildings? Great start!
